Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a production associate to assist in fabricating steel parts used in waste handling equipment. You will read blueprints, set up presses and shears, and verify dimensions with measuring tools. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a noisy, dusty environment.

Pay is $18.96 per hour with full benefits for full-time staff. Experience in a fast-paced plant and basic CNC controls are a plus. Candidates with forklift experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of production experience
• Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape
• Understanding of basic CNC controls
• Basic math and problem solving skills
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment is a plus
• Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Fabricate steel and other metal parts as indicated by work orders and blueprints
• Position and clamp stops and guides to set length and angle of cut
• Operate equipment to adjust rake and blade pressure
• Lifts and positions workpieces using hoist/crane
• Inspect finished items to verify dimensions
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety rules
