Job summary

EZARC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled craft workers across multiple trades. You will load and unload fabrication materials, follow supervisor directions, and help ensure all tools and equipment are ready for use.

The role is indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with emphasis on teamwork and safety. You should have reliable transportation to work, legal authorization to work in the United States, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with welding operations (preferred).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions from supervisors and crew leads.
• Load or unload fabrication materials.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment including complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Assist crew to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment is ready and available before starting work.
• Perform spotting and/or fire watch duties to assist journeyman ironworkers and apprentices.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Reduce waste with good housekeeping practices, keeping materials and tools organized, return tools when not in use, etc.
