Job summary

ForceSource is seeking a motivated Steel Erector to join our construction team in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will assemble and install steel structures on active job sites, reading blueprints and aligning components to exact specs.

This role requires safe operation of hand and heavy equipment, the ability to work at heights, and collaboration with project teams to meet deadlines while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with metal building erection and related concrete forms.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.
• Capable of heavy lifting and working at heights safely.
• Familiar with masonry, drywall, roofing, siding is a plus.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Solid construction site safety knowledge and practices.
• Welding or heavy equipment certifications are advantageous but optional.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and accurately assemble steel structures.
• Erect metal buildings and components using tools and equipment.
• Install rebar within concrete forms to support structure.
• Perform framing and siding tasks to support completion.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and follow safety protocols.
• Support project management by ensuring compliance with specs.
• Collaborate with teams to meet project timelines.
