Job summary

Florida Atlantic Ironworks seeks a Steel Erection Foreman/Leadman to provide site leadership, crew supervision, and equipment planning. The role involves coordinating, training, and ensuring safety and productivity while meeting project deadlines.

The leadman will work closely with the Steel Erection Superintendent and Project Manager, overseeing procedures, sign-offs, and daily progress to keep construction on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience leading crews on steel erection projects.
• Able to read specifications and blueprints.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and quality control.
• Ability to coordinate manpower and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead site crews, schedule work, and plan manpower.
• Monitor safety, quality, and costs on project sites.
• Read blueprints, verify alignment, and supervise bolting/welding.
• Coordinate with contractors, superintendents, and project managers.
• Attend on-site meetings and issue corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available and maintained.
