Job summary

Florida Atlantic Ironworks seeks a Steel Erection Foreman/Leadman to provide on-site leadership for steel erection projects. You will schedule manpower and equipment, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality, and cost control across projects.

The role requires reading blueprints, coordinating with contractors, and guiding teams to meet schedule commitments. The position involves travel to multiple project sites; a valid driver’s license is expected.

Qualifications

• Read specifications and blueprints to determine material quantities and locations.
• Verify alignment of structural-steel members using levels/lasers/transits.
• Ensure safety, quality, and cost-control standards are followed on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews on site, coordinating manpower and equipment.
• Schedule tasks, participate in cost control, and maintain project timelines.
• Communicate with supervisors and client to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Attend on-site project meetings and issue corrective actions when needed.
• Perform QC inspections and oversee daily/weekly look-ahead schedules.
