Job summary

gpac LLC. is seeking two experienced Steel Checkers for an on-site role at the Friendswood, TX office serving the Houston area.

This role focuses on detailing and checking structural steel drawings only, with no RFIs, PM coordination, or clerical management, allowing you to concentrate on the work. You will check shop and erection drawings on a variety of commercial projects, and experience with Tekla is preferred while SDS2 experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience checking steel detailing work.
• Tekla experience preferred; SDS2 experience welcome. Tekla training provided within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Check and detail structural steel shop and erection drawings.
• Work on a wide range of commercial projects including warehouses, tilt walls, data centers, hospitals, churches and schools.
