Job summary

Lucas Milhaupt, LLC. is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the Engineering team with hands-on technical work, data analysis, and project assistance.

This on-site internship targets students pursuing engineering degrees who are eager to learn, problem-solve, and contribute to ongoing projects. The role involves assisting with design, testing, analysis, and documentation, collecting data, and preparing reports, drawings, and presentations while following safety guidelines and company

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering.
• Engineering fields include Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Manufacturing, Software, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Position Overview

The Engineering Intern will support the Engineering team with hands-on technical work, data analysis, and project assistance while gaining real-world experience in an engineering environment. This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in engineering who are eager to learn, problem-solve, and contribute to ongoing projects.

Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with day-to-day project tasks and engineering assignments.
• Support design, testing, analysis, and documentation activities.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data related to engineering projects.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and project planning sessions.
• Follow engineering standards, safety guidelines, and company procedures.
• Provide general support to the Engineering team as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
• Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Manufacturing, Software, or related field).
• Basic understanding of engineering principles related to field of study.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is based on site at our facility in Cudahy, Wisconsin. We are a manufacturing company, and this role will work with a diverse population in both office and production settings. The position may require the use of personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection and steel toe shoes provided by the company).
