Job summary

Arizona Science Center seeks a Learning and Engagement Specialist to deliver engaging STEAM experiences outside the museum as part of the Science on Wheels team. The LES travels to schools, libraries, and community events across Arizona to enrich diverse communities.

You will prepare and facilitate hands-on activities, supervise demonstrations, and collaborate with colleagues to expand programs statewide, with overnight travel required and a focus on inclusive teaching and DEAI.

Qualifications

• Science, education, and/or museum background preferred.
• Experience with educational settings and diverse audiences.
• Experience engaging people in hands-on learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and facilitate hands-on STEAM events at schools, libraries, and community sites.
• Supervise activities to ensure safe and engaging experiences.
• Educate PreK–12 students with developmentally appropriate content.
• Prepare materials and set up teaching spaces for programs.
