Library Systems & Services Llc seeks a full-time Library Associate 3 focused on STEAM, Makerspace development, and readers advisory. You will lead the design, implementation, and promotion of STEAM programs, fostering creativity and digital literacy while assisting patrons at service desks as needed.

This role emphasizes STEAM program development, collaborative partnerships, and data-driven evaluation to improve community services and access to makerspace resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Multilingual a plus.
• Two years of experience with makerspace tech or instructional work.
• Strong knowledge of STEAM concepts and educational trends.
• Strong writing, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with makerspace tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop STEAM programs for varied technology levels.
• Collaborate with partners to create dynamic programming.
• Oversee Makerspace operations and accessibility for patrons.
• Manage Makerspace equipment, including 3D printers and robotics kits.
• Provide training to staff and volunteers on STEAM topics.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Engage in outreach and marketing to promote STEAM literacy.
• Assist patrons at circulation desks with reference and program info.
