Job summary

Crossroads YMCA in Hobart, Indiana, is seeking a STEAM Instructor I to support youth development through engaging STEAM activities. You will lead educational sessions, supervise children, and deliver curriculum in a welcoming, fun environment.

Applicants must be 16+, flexible for evenings/weekends, and obtain CPR/AED & First Aid within 30 days. Training and orientation are provided to ensure safety and YMCA compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• CPR/AED & First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• New Employee Orientation and online trainings completed.
• Duty to Report and Keeping your YMCA Safe trainings required.

Responsibilities

• Lead event activities ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Create memorable, educational experiences for participants.
• Provide friendly, professional service to volunteers, staff, parents, and participants.
• Supervise and participate with children during activities.
• Implement curriculum and activity plans per guidelines.
• Maintain program records and equipment needs; adapt to changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
