Job Description

This position reports directly to the Second/Third Class Power Plant Engineer; operates power plant boilers and associated equipment in a combined heat and power system; maintains appropriate logs and records as required; performs proper boiler water treatment activities; repairs, overhauls and maintains power plant machinery and equipment; prepares high pressure boiler for inspection; maintains clean work areas; complies with all complex health, safety and security procedures; must be able to safely lift 50 lbs. or more. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a Civil Service position. Please note that salaries for union positions are determined according to the provisions of the respective collective bargaining agreement.
