The Science Zone is a non-profit organization delivering educational services to students and families with the goal of increasing interest in STEAM careers and raising the level of science discourse in the community.

The Science Zone AmeriCorps members contribute to this effort by participating in educational activities such as teaching camps, classroom lessons, field trips, outreach events, mentoring, tutoring, and other varied activities, which contribute to the success of the student in

Qualifications

• Commitment to STEM education and youth development.
• Willingness to work before/after school hours and Saturdays.
• Desire to contribute to mentoring, tutoring, and classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Support educational goals and increase access to STEAM education.
• Engage with students during after-school hours and Saturdays.
• Participate in training and community outreach events.
