Job summary

AmeriCorps State / National program in Bridgeton, NJ seeks mentors to support youth through STEAM and core academics, partnering with United Advocacy Group. The role covers 300 hours during the Summer term, with training and a living allowance provided.

You will assist students with college applications, FAFSA, and financial planning, collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to raise educational attainment in the Greater Bridgeton Area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to mentoring youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service to local youth through tutoring and mentoring.
• Assist with tutoring services in SAT/ACT and Accuplacer preparation.
• Assist students with the college application process including FAFSA and deadlines.
• Help students and families create financial plans for education funding.
