Job summary

StayAPT Suites Auburn seeks an Assistant General Manager to supervise departments, drive profitability, and lead with confidence in the General Manager's absence. You’ll oversee operations, coach staff, and maintain top-tier standards to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Overtime-eligible manager role (OEM); you’ll partner with the GM to optimize revenue, control costs, and support a cohesive team across hotel functions.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive hotel experience in Rooms or F&B, or a 4-year degree with 2–3 years, or a 2-year degree with 3–4 years.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Captain of Collaboration: Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager.
• Master of Solutions: Proactively spot challenges and tackle them to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Talent Scout & Coach: Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop team members through programs and training.
• Messenger Extraordinaire: Listen actively, understand concerns, and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Numbers Ninja: Work with financial data to support hotel operations.
• Tech Trailblazer: Use Windows OS for reporting and management tasks.
• Organization Champion: Maintain professional appearance and grooming per guidelines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
