Enact Holdings, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Accounting Lead — Statutory Reporting to join the Controllership team on a hybrid schedule.

You will own NAIC statutory filings and related financial reporting, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. The ideal candidate has a CPA, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, and strong analytical, communication, and process-improvement skills to strengthen controls and streamline

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Certification required.
• 5+ years of general accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting tooling skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual regulatory and statutory filings, including financial statements and disclosures.
• Prepare, review, and analyze supplemental schedules for statutory/regulatory reporting.
• Oversee premium tax filings across states and municipalities for accuracy and timeliness.
• Own monthly close components related to statutory reporting (journal entries, reconciliations).
• Improve internal controls over financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document key statutory reporting processes and controls for standardization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to compile data for statutory financial statements.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulators.
• Partner with IT to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and control effectiveness.
• Lead regulatory audits and assist with remediation efforts.
