Job summary

HEICO seeks an experienced Stator & Armature Winding and Assembly Technician to wind, assemble, and inspect electric motor stators and armatures. The role involves manual coil winding, wire handling, motor assembly, and quality inspection.

Responsibilities include soldering/brazing, using hand tools and fixtures, and performing tests on windings and assemblies. Ability to read diagrams and follow tight production schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in stator winding, armature winding, or motor assembly preferred.
• Ability to read wiring and winding diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to work long hours including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual winding of stators and armatures according to drawings and winding patterns.
• Install and position copper wire, coils, insulation, sleeves, wedges, and other components.
• Prepare, form, insert, tie, lace, and secure coils.
• Perform armature winding, coil placement, soldering/brazing, and commutator connections.
• Assemble stator and armature components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Follow winding schedules, wire sizes, turns, and connection diagrams.
• Inspect windings and assemblies for workmanship and insulation.
• Conduct basic electrical and mechanical tests such as continuity and resistance.
• Identify defective materials or assembly problems and report.
• Maintain production and inspection records.
• Maintain tools and workspace in safe condition.
