Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Statistics. Qualifications

• PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or closely related field; at least one year of both theoretical and applied statistics coursework at the master’s level or higher; proficiency in R/RStudio, SAS, or Python, previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 6-course equivalent each academic year.
• In their first year, a reduced teaching assignment of five courses plus one fully-compensated course release.
• Contribute to general education.
• Advise and mentor students; foster an inclusive community.
• Advance scholarship by mentoring undergraduates and pursuing grants.
• Participate in faculty meetings and college service.
