Union College invites applications for the Donald C. Brate ’45-Stanley G. Peschel ’52 Assistant Professorship in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2027.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in statistics by that date, strong undergraduate teaching credentials, and a record of scholarly achievement. The hire will contribute to the growing Statistics, Data Analytics, and Financial & Actuarial Mathematics programs, develop courses in their area of expertise, and teach

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in statistics by September 2027 or earlier.
• Strong undergraduate teaching credentials.
• Evidence of scholarly achievement in statistics.

Responsibilities

• Teach two courses per trimester with one course release during the first year.
• Develop courses in your area of expertise for the Statistics, Data Analytics, and Financial & Actuarial Mathematics programs.
• Engage in scholarly activity across statistics sub-fields and contribute to department goals.
