Job summary

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Division of Behavioral Health is seeking a Statistical Analyst II to join the Data and QI teams. This role focuses on data management, quantitative analysis, and producing insightful statistical outputs to inform decisions and policies across the division.

Responsibilities include data collection, verification, analysis, and reporting, with use of Excel, SQL, SPSS, SAS, STATA, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economic/social science research methods, inferential/inductive statistical analysis, or related field.
• Experience applying statistical methods to program, project, or demographic data can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, interpret, and report data for various audiences.
• Support and contribute to data collection, verification, organization, and analysis; interpret results and identify trends.
• Work collaboratively in a team or independently to complete projects on time.
• Produce accurate, reliable statistical outcomes and interpretations.
• Support cross-division and cross-agency data requests and reporting.
