Job summary

Hendall Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Statistical Analysis and Quality Control to lead statistical analyses, data processing, reporting, and QC on a DHHS project. You will guide statisticians and data analysts, establish QC standards, validate analyses, and ensure reproducible, publication-ready outputs.

The role requires hands-on analysis and senior oversight, with experience in SAS, R, Python, and AI-enabled analytics, and a focus on behavioral health data and large administrative datasets.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, population health, data science, quantitative social science, mathematics, or a closely related field, with advanced training in statistical methods
• 10+ years of experience analyzing, processing, interpreting, reporting, and QC on large, complex datasets, including administrative and survey data
• 5+ years of experience analyzing and presenting behavioral health data (substance use/mental health) with population health knowledge
• Experience applying population statistics and advanced univariate/multivariate methods (descriptive/inferential stats, regression, ANOVA/MANOVA, SEM, cluster, trend)
• 8+ years of SAS experience (SAS/STAT); experience with R/Python/STATA; AI-enabled analytics or ML methods
• Senior-level technical leadership or management experience overseeing staff, reviewing work, resolving QC findings, and ensuring release readiness
• Advanced data management, QC, and reporting skills (Excel, data products, dashboards, data audits, documentation)
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, leadership, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses to describe populations and answer questions
• Formulate/test hypotheses using inferential statistics and model diagnostics
• Lead analyses of cross-sectional/longitudinal data and review interpretations
• Analyze large administrative and survey datasets for reliable estimates and reporting
• Use ML/AI analytics to identify patterns and support automated anomaly detection
• Lead QC reviews of data files, programs, calculations, and reports
• Develop and review SAS programs; use R/Python/STATA for data manipulation and visualization
• Oversee data analyses, feasibility studies, data mining, and ad hoc requests; translate findings for technical and nontechnical audiences
• Serve as senior technical/QC reviewer for analytic data files and documentation; ensure consistency and readiness
