Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is expanding with a state-of-the-art Neuro Expansion at the Main Campus in Cleveland. We seek a Stationary Engineer to keep high‑pressure steam, HVAC, emergency power, and fire protection systems safe and reliable.

You will monitor boilers, track logs, and respond to emergencies, with opportunities to grow within our multidisciplinary facilities engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Third-Class Stationary Engineer License or higher from Ohio or an equivalent.
• License transfer from another state is acceptable; must obtain Ohio licensure within 12 months.
• Knowledge of steam distribution, condensate, chillers, water distribution, cooling towers and air handling.
• Working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Military experience such as Machinists Mate or Electric Power Production will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and maintain a high pressure steam powerhouse, HVAC systems, emergency power, and fire protection systems.
• Monitor HVAC source and distribution equipment (steam, chilled water, water chemistry, humidification, air handling).
• Monitor and respond to all fire protection systems and emergencies.
• Test and monitor emergency generators and transfer equipment.
• Work at other Cleveland Clinic facilities as needed.
• Support care for neurological services expansion project.”
