Job summary

Washington State University, Pullman, is seeking a Stationary Engineer 2 - Maintenance to support Facilities Operations Steam Plants. The role involves operation, maintenance, and repair of high‑pressure boilers, electrical generators, water treatment, condensate systems, pumps, air compressors, steam lines, and computer-controlled plant systems.

The position is full-time, permanent, with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in operation, maintenance and/or repair of stationary or marine high‑pressure boilers and heating systems OR Advanced Stationary Engineer certificate plus two years of related experience.
• Boiler Operator, First Class license within six months of hire.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED training required annually.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift or relief operations duty as necessary based on Plant needs and be available on a 24-hour basis.
