Montefiore Health System is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate, monitor, and maintain boilers and related power plant equipment in a major New York hospital setting.

You will ensure safe, compliant operation, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies, collaborating with a team in a fast-paced health system environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in boiler operation or HVAC preferred.
• Valid NYC Stationary Engineer License required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance in a healthcare or industrial setting.
• Completion of a trade apprenticeship program and five years experience as Stationary Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems, S-13 Citywide Standpipe System, G-71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases, G-60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases, F-60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations & Const. Site certificates.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and engines.

• Respond to emergency situations and perform corrective actions as needed.

Overview

Under general supervision, the Stationary Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of boilers and related power plant equipment. This includes steam engines, air compressors, and auxiliary systems that provide steam, electric power, and other essential services to the facility.
