Job description

Overview:

Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of boiler systems and related equipment. This role involves routine and advanced maintenance tasks, diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled servicing of machinery. The engineer also manages spare parts inventory and maintains accurate documentation of maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor steam boiler systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Prepare equipment and documentation for annual inspections and water quality testing.
• Perform part replacements and general upkeep of boiler systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including CNC and manual mills and lathes, injection molding machines, steam boilers, autoclaves, spray booths/sandblasting units, and forklifts.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support production flow.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Use power tools and pipe threading equipment safely and effectively.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics (electrical and hydraulic).
• Handle and maintain tools and machinery properly.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid 1st or 2nd Class Boiler Operator License.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with hands-on experience in:
• Boiler operations
• CNC and manual machine repair
• Sandblasting equipment maintenance
• Lockout/tagout safety procedures
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and maintenance best practices.
• Must provide own tools.
