Total Talent Solutions is hiring a Stationary Engineer for a large facility in Destin, FL. The role focuses on operating and maintaining boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and related systems on a variety of shifts.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in healthcare facilities and 5+ years in operating and maintaining commercial mechanical systems, with a Florida Boiler Operator License or equivalent documented on DD214. EPA refrigeration certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities.
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems.
• Florida Boiler Operator License or military journeyman level 5+ documented on DD214 required.
• EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Respond to service requests and emergency situations.
• Complete operating logs, maintenance reports, and required documentation.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and controls.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site personnel during maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and control drawings.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.

Location: Destin, FL
Pay Rate: $30.00-$33.00 per hour
Full-Time:

• 2nd Shift: Saturday-Sunday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

Part-Time:

• 1st Shift: Saturday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Saturday-Sunday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: Saturday-Sunday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM

We are seeking an experienced Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical mechanical systems in a large facility environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air compressors, HVAC equipment, and related control systems. The Stationary Engineer will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to service requests and emergency situations, maintain operational records, and support overall facility reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience with commercial or healthcare facility systems, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred unless otherwise specified.
• Additional education, certifications, or vocational training may be beneficial depending on the position.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities
• Minimum 5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems
• Experience with boilers, chillers, control systems, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems preferred
• Florida Boiler Operator License or military journeyman level 5+ documented on DD214 required
• EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification preferred
