Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Operator for our Franklin, WI facility. You will operate a range of heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and assist with welding and fabrication tasks while following safety protocols. The role requires union membership or willingness to join, a valid driver's license with clean record, and CDL with Tanker within 1 year.

Weekend shifts may be needed. Strong communication, reliability, and ability to work in dusty, variable weather

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in operating and maintaining mobile equipment.
Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Punctual and dependable with good verbal and written communication.
Able to work varied early-morning hours and weekends as needed.
Able to tolerate variable weather and dirty/dusty environments.
Union membership eligibility or willingness to join is required.
Willing to obtain CDL with Tanker within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment safely and productively.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
Communicate plant site issues with Foreman and Mine Management during daily inspections.
Maintain a clean, orderly work site; assist with cleanup.
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs including cutting, fabricating and welding.
Follow safety procedures and incident reporting.
Operate equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, skid steer loaders, water trucks, graders, man lifts, dozers and excavators.
Other duties as assigned.

Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while performing daily inspections of the plant site.
Maintain a clean and orderly work site including shoveling and skid steer operation clean up.
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs including labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding.
Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
Use equipment such as, but not limited to: loaders, haul trucks, skid steer loaders, water trucks, graders, man lifts, dozers and excavators.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience.
Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Must be punctual and dependable.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Have the ability to work varied hours early mornings, and weekends as needed.
Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments.
Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become a union member are required.
Willing to obtain CDL with Tanker within 1 year of employment.
