Job summary

dnata USA is seeking a training specialist to develop and manage aviation training programs at JFK, Jamaica, NY. You will design schedules, coordinate with leadership, and deliver onboarding and continuous learning to employees across stations.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and technical skills, with experience in aviation training preferred. This position is based on-site in New York and supports corporate training standards.

On the ground, dnata USA keeps 27 of the country’s major airports connected – both with each other and the world - including John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City. Handling 200,000 tonnes of cargo, guiding 15,000,000 passengers and keeping 50,000 flights in the air each year, the work that the dnata USA team complete on the ground is crucial to keeping the country in the air.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a schedule to assess training needs.
  • Consult with other trainers, managers, and leadership.
  • Track and compile collected data.
  • Conceptualize training materials based on data.
  • Communicate training needs and resources.
  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials.
  • Contact and utilize outside vendors and resources for instructional technology.
  • Test and review created materials.
  • Maintain a database of all training materials.
  • Instruct employee training and onboarding.
  • Conduct training through new materials.
  • Review employee performance and learning.
  • Identify and utilize best training methods and materials to include computer-based training and instructor-led training.
  • Serve as training material custodian. Revises material based on trends and lessons learned to maintain operational safety, procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Works with station management to provide support in meeting corporate training improvements and standards.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Can meet the Station’s attendance standards

Qualifications:

  • Solid computer skills, familiar with software applications
  • Decisiveness, attention to detail, able to influence, engage and motivate at all levels
  • Experience with training in general aviation, commercial aviation, or both preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Possess/maintain a valid state driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
