Job summary

dnata USA is seeking a Cargo Warehouse Supervisor in Dallas, TX to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure safe, compliant cargo handling. You will supervise staff, coordinate with airlines and regulators, and drive safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have 3+ years in air cargo/logistics with supervisory experience and be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. This role is on-site at Dallas/DFW.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in air cargo handling, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of international air cargo handling procedures, warehouse operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve operational issues, and make independent decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations during assigned shifts to ensure the timely, safe, secure, and accurate handling of cargo.
  • Oversee cargo acceptance, storage, build-up, breakdown, and movement activities in accordance with company, airline, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and support warehouse personnel to promote productivity, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Monitor productivity, workforce utilization, operational metrics, and service performance and take corrective action as necessary to achieve operational objectives.
  • Coordinate effectively with airlines, freight forwarders, government agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient cargo operations.
  • Support audits, inspections, inventory controls, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain regulatory compliance.

The Cargo Warehouse Supervisor oversees the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure the safe, secure, e:icient, and compliant handling of cargo on behalf of airline customers. The role provides direct supervision of warehouse personnel, assigns and coordinates work activities, monitors operational performance, and ensures adherence to company, airline, customer, safety, security, and regulatory requirements. The Supervisor is accountable for operational execution, employee performance, safety leadership, service delivery, and regulatory compliance while supporting dnata's operational and customer service objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations during assigned shifts to ensure the timely, safe, secure, and accurate handling of cargo.
  • Assign, prioritize, and direct daily work activities to ensure adequate sta:ing coverage and e:icient operational performance.
  • Oversee cargo acceptance, storage, build-up, breakdown, and movement activities in accordance with company, airline, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and support warehouse personnel to promote productivity, quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Conduct employee briefings, provide on-the-job training, monitor performance, and support employee development initiatives.
  • Conduct performance coaching, document performance concerns, provide corrective feedback, and recommend corrective action in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor productivity, workforce utilization, operational metrics, and service performance and take corrective action as necessary to achieve operational objectives.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve cargo discrepancies, damages, shortages, service failures, operational irregularities, and customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Conduct safety observations, promote compliance with safety programs, and identify and address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, security, customs, TSA, CBP, FAA, USDA, airline, customer, and company requirements.
  • Coordinate e:ectively with airlines, freight forwarders, government agencies, customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate e:icient cargo operations.
  • Support audits, inspections, inventory controls, corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain operational and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, training documentation, and compliance records as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of operational and business requirements.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing operational demands, and e:ectively allocate resources.
  • Proficiency in preparing reports, maintaining records, and utilizing operational systems and technology.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operationally required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and Airport ID.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
