Job summary

dnata USA seeks a Cargo Service Agent in Dallas, TX, to provide operational and customer service support for airline cargo. You’ll process shipments, documentation, customs reporting, and inventory management to help move cargo safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in air cargo or logistics, strong data accuracy, and the ability to work rotating shifts, nights, and overtime. Proficiency with cargo systems and Outlook is a plus, and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in air cargo, logistics, or related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process cargo pick-up and delivery transactions, including driver check-in and documentation verification.
  • Receive, review, and process cargo bookings, shipment documentation, and operational reports.
  • Capture shipment data accurately and ensure timely updates in the cargo management system.
  • Prepare load plans, build manifests, and support flight departure activities.
  • Generate and submit customs and regulatory reports within prescribed deadlines.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and provide shipment status updates.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, irregularities, and customer service issues.
  • Maintain organized records of cargo transactions, flight documentation, and regulatory filings.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of cargo shipments, operational equipment, and consumable materials.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure smooth cargo operations.
  • Adhere to all safety, security, and company operational procedures.

The Cargo Service Agent provides operational and customer service support for airline cargo operations, ensuring the accurate processing of shipments, documentation,

customs reporting, flight preparation, and inventory management activities. The role contributes to the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of cargo while delivering high standards of service to airlines, customers, and other stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in Outlook and the ability to learn and use cargo management and operational systems.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work extended hours and overtime on short notice to meet operational requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances and Airport ID
