Job summary

dnata USA is hiring a Ground Service Agent Supervisor to oversee a team of agents responsible for loading/unloading aircraft and guiding aircraft on the ramp. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and coordination with flight crews at major airports in the United States.

Responsibilities include supervising 5–10 agents, operating ground support equipment, and ensuring compliant ramp operations while maintaining clear communication with other departments and teams.

Qualifications

• Must possess/ maintain a valid state driver's license and FAA/Airport identifications or authorizations.
• Must be able to pass SIDA airport and training tests.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy.
• 1-2 years Ground Service Agent and/or Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 5 to 10 agents responsible for loading and unloading aircraft.
• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
• Load and unload passenger bags and cargo using bag carts, dollies, and conveyors.
• Operate ground support equipment (tow tractors, belt loaders, etc.) and maintain ramp safety.
• Communicate efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews; follow safety policies.
• Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels.
• Work outdoors in all weather and around jet/machinery noises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a dnata Ground Service Agent Supervisor, you have an essential role of continuously optimizing and aligning operational efficiencies to promote a successful and productive workforce. You will supervise a team of agents that will guide, load, and unload aircraft in a safe and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise a team of 5 to 10 agents responsible for the loading and unloading of aircraft .

Guiding inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate

Lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting passenger bags and cargo to/from aircraft , bag carts, dollies, and conveyor belts

Driving and/or operating ground support equipment, such as t ow tractors, tow bars, belt loaders, container loaders, baggage tugs and more.

Maintaining safety and security on the ramp and practicing all safety policies and procedures

Communicating efficiently with ground personnel and flight crews

Maintaining an understanding of and following all applicable federal, state, airport, and company regulations, policies, and procedures

Working with other departments to ensure on-time performance of flights.

Performing other duties as assigned

Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, including but not limited to standing, lifting, bending, stooping, walking, crawling, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.

Push, pull, lift, and load up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis.

Ascend/descend the jet -way stairs while carrying baggage.

Ability to read and interpret aircraft load sheets, check baggage tags, and cargo labels.

Ability to understand and react to verbal and visual commands and safety warnings, with and without the assistance of sight or visual aids.

Work outside in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noises
