Job summary

Motivate is seeking a Station Cleaning Services Technician to maintain the cleanliness of street fixtures, docking stations, and advertising panels across the New York City area. The starting schedule is overnight, Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm–6:00 am, with changes possible per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

You will inspect stations, perform cleaning with power washer and tools, drive a large vehicle, document work orders on mobile devices, and keep work areas tidy.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and able to maintain acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating large vehicles in urban environments.
• Enjoy outdoor work in all weather conditions year-round.
• Comfortable using apps on a cell phone or tablet for documenting work.
• Knowledge of using various tools and equipment in cleaning and maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate assigned bike share stations for cleanliness.
• Perform station cleaning using power washer and tools.
• Follow safety policies and work practices and adhere to workplace rules.
• Complete projects to quality standards, including graffiti removal and lane/parking striping.
• Document work orders using mobile devices.
• Maintain clean and presentable work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Operate a large vehicle to travel across urban areas.

Motivate is seeking a Station Cleaning Services Technician who will maintain the overall cleanliness of street fixtures, docking stations, and advertising panels. The starting work schedules are overnight shifts, Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 pm – 6:00 am. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need.

About the Role

• Inspect and evaluate assigned bike share stations for cleanliness
• Perform bike-share station and other area cleaning services using power washer equipment and various tools
• Follow safe driving and work practices and adhere to all workplace policies
• Complete assigned projects thoroughly and to quality standards, such as bike lane or parking striping to graffiti removal
• Utilize mobile devices to document work order ticket completion records
• Keep and maintain clean and presentable work areas, tools, and equipment
• Operate a large vehicle to travel throughout urban areas

About You

• You have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• You are experienced operating large vehicles in urban congestion
• You enjoy working outdoors year-round and in all weather conditions
• You are comfortable using apps on a cell phone or tablet
• You are knowledgeable in using various tools and equipment
• You can lift to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods of time
