Job description

As a station manager, we will look to you to lead the maintaining of store operations at your assigned location, ensuring uninterrupted service and promoting a positive customer buying experience. Requirements

Overall responsibility for the daily operation of an assigned retail location, ensuring uninterrupted service and a positive customer experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Employment and employee relations
  • Retail management and operations
  • Completing all required paperwork accurately and timely
  • Maintaining uninterrupted operation by effectively scheduling staff and being available to assist when needed
  • Inventory management: maintaining appropriate stock levels for retail, fuel, chemicals, and supplies
  • Cash management
  • Customer service and communication
  • Facility maintenance
  • Providing customers with a clean, appealing, and well-stocked facility to ensure a positive buying experience and safe environment
Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the District Manager. The Assistant Manager, Lead Sales Associate, and Sales Associates report to this role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail. A high school diploma and a minimum of 6 years management experience are required.
  • Proven motivator with team-building skills, comfortable with training and directing others.
  • Completion of an approved Food Service Sanitation Management course and maintenance of a valid certificate onsite.
  • Where applicable by law, ability to obtain and maintain the necessary Operator License for selling alcohol.
  • Superior customer service skills and effective problem-solving abilities are mandatory.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for all shifts, including on-call hours.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, stoop, bend, reach above shoulder level, climb, shovel, and perform sweeping and mopping tasks.

Preferred prior management experience of 1-3 years in retail, grocery, or restaurant settings.
