Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, seeks a Station Manager to lead daily emissions-station operations in a safety-conscious, customer-focused environment. You will hire, train, and coach staff, schedule shifts, and ensure accurate emissions inspections with minimal wait times.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, customer service background, and solid computer skills. You will report to the District/Operations Manager and coordinate facility upkeep and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field desirable.
• Previous customer service and cash-handling experience required.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to express and exchange ideas verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of emission stations to ensure compliance with Envirotest’s policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Interview, hire, onboard, and assist with the training of new employees, giving continuous coaching, feedback, and support.
• Supervise and assign tasks to employees to ensure the efficiency of the station.
• Create employee schedules to ensure proper staffing for station based on forecasted customer traffic and operational needs.
• Ensure emission inspections are conducted accurately and efficiently to minimize customer wait times.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly operation activities.
• Manage inventory of supplies around the station.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, including groundskeeping, snow removal, janitorial upkeep and painting.
• Promote a culture of safety by leading the station’s Safety Program to ensure the safety of both employees and customers.
• Complete administrative paperwork related to station’s operations and finances
• Conduct emissions tests as needed to maintain compliance with customer wait time expectations.
• Additional duties as assigned by District or Operations Manager.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to enter and exit vehicles, 50-80% of the time
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling and stooping, up to 90% of the time
