Overview

The Station Manager is responsible for the P&L, operational oversight, leadership, and strategic direction of the station. This role ensures quality service, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency to meet growth and profitability targets. The manager will implement company policies, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and develop business within their region, including conducting business development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all station functions, ensuring departmental and staff compliance with service agreements.
  • Maximize profitability through exceptional customer service and effective communication.
  • Drive business development, sales, marketing, and new account growth to increase revenue.
  • Provide daily leadership and support to station staff on operational, HR, and customer service issues.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet organizational needs and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze activities, costs, and forecast data to track progress towards business goals.
  • Review P&L performance, set short-term goals, and address budget shortfalls.
  • Collaborate with senior management on continuous improvement initiatives, using KPIs to optimize costs without compromising service quality.
  • Ensure freight is expedited safely and efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain safety programs.
  • Communicate effectively to motivate staff and build relationships with clients and management.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma with relevant experience considered.
  • At least 5 years of logistics industry experience, including international and domestic operations.
  • Minimum 3 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Proven experience managing a full P&L.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to manage all aspects of domestic and international operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Leadership qualities with problem-solving skills.
