Job summary

Public Service Co. of OK is seeking a Station Electrician to install, maintain, test and inspect energized and de-energized generation, transmission and distribution equipment.

You will read prints, interpret diagrams, and use live line tools while coordinating with supervisors to ensure safe, reliable operation. The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL and residency within 35 miles of the service location.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Military training equivalent considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL.
• Must reside within 35 miles of service location.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain station equipment, energized or de-energized.
• Interpret prints, drawings and specifications for work.
• Use live line tools and install controls, meters, relays and wiring.
• Perform station ground resistance tests and related inspections.
• Maintain records and submit reports as required.
• Perform switching and grounding on transmission, distribution and generation lines.
