Job summary

SEIU Local 2015 is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support the union’s statewide technology infrastructure in California. You will administer servers, networks, cloud services, and collaboration platforms to ensure reliable, secure access for staff, members, and programs.

The role emphasizes infrastructure modernization, incident response, disaster recovery, and professional collaboration with the IT Coordinator and other staff. Full-time, non-exempt, statewide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Four to seven years of progressively responsible experience administering enterprise systems, servers, networks, and technology infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise applications.
• Experience administering network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and internet connectivity.
• Experience supporting telecommunications, VoIP, mobile-device, and collaboration platforms.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, access controls, vulnerability management, backup systems, and disaster-recovery practices.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical information clearly to staff and leaders with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support servers, operating systems, workstations, mobile devices, printers, and related infrastructure.
• Monitor enterprise systems for performance, availability, reliability, and security.
• Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
• Maintain AD, Exchange, and related infrastructure services.
• Maintain documentation, inventories, and operating procedures.
• Plan capacity and propose infrastructure improvements based on growth.
