Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Education seeks a State School Nurse Consultant to provide statewide leadership, consultation, technical assistance, training, data analysis, and program coordination to strengthen school nursing services, student health and safety, and educational access and outcomes.

This AWEC full-time role collaborates with the Wyoming Department of Health, school districts, and health providers; ensures compliance with nursing statutes; manages program data and reporting; supports

Qualifications

Preference for a current Wyoming license as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with Wyoming Department of Health, State Health Officer, Wyoming State Board of Nursing, school districts, school nurses, healthcare providers, state agencies, and community partners.
Ensures program activities and professional nursing practices comply with Wyoming nursing statutes and the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act.
Manages and monitors program requirements per funding agreements, budgets, deliverables, and performance measures.
Coordinates statewide data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of required program data.
Supports continuous quality improvement efforts by evaluating activities and implementing changes.
Supports nursing and public health workforce development through training and collaboration.
Prepares and submits reports to state agencies, funding partners, and the Wyoming Legislature.
Maintains coordination among statewide partners to support program goals and compliance.
