Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Education is seeking a State School Nurse Consultant to provide statewide leadership, consultation, and program coordination to strengthen school nursing services and student health outcomes.

The role supports compliance with health and education statutes, coordinates data reporting, and collaborates with districts and health partners to improve access to safe, healthy learning environments.

Qualifications

• Statewide leadership and nursing program coordination experience.
• Ability to analyze health data and report findings.
• Strong knowledge of Wyoming Nurse Practice Act.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with WY Department of Health, schools, and providers.
• Ensures nursing practices comply with statutes and rules.
• Manages program requirements and budgets.
• Coordinates statewide data collection and reporting.
• Supports QA and workforce development.
• Prepares reports to state agencies and legislature.
• Maintains communication among statewide partners.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
