Job summary

Portland Recovery in Maine seeks a Statewide Recovery Coach Coordinator to develop, train, and support peer recovery coach programs across the state. You will coordinate CCAR training, oversee credentialing processes, and collaborate with Recovery Community Centers and community partners to strengthen recovery coaching in healthcare, corrections, and community settings.

The role requires lived recovery experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Lived experience in recovery and passion for supporting people in recovery.
• Associate’s-degree is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to listen, speak and write effectively.
• Willingness to work with diverse partners and communities.
• CCAR trained recovery coach preferred or can be trained as part of hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Assist RCCs to recruit, screen, train and oversee recovery coaches based on CCAR curriculum.
• Manage administrative tasks: virtual training coordination, email, recordkeeping, online registrations, and communications.
• Provide technical assistance to local coordinators for Coachervision and program oversight across systems.
• Coordinate and facilitate CCAR Recovery Coach trainings: scheduling, registration, materials, facilitators, records.
• Oversee training and development for Peer Recovery Coaching programs statewide.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to assess community and RCC needs.
• Support individuals pursuing Recovery Coach trainings and credentialing pathways.
• Provide guidance on documentation, data collection, and ethical practices.
