Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) seeks a strategic Public Involvement Lead Strategist to serve as the statewide framework architect and primary technical advisor for public engagement.

You will build governance, standardized toolkits, and vendor guidelines across all regions, acting as an internal consultant to Region Offices, Project Managers, and Program Managers—ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements early in the transportation process.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy, or related field, plus 8 years of public engagement or transportation planning experience.
• Directly related experience may substitute the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• IAP2 Certification or familiarity with public participation standards is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop statewide Public Involvement Plan aligned with federal requirements and UD OT goals.
• Embed public involvement strategies into early corridor studies and long-range plans.
• Identify EJ/Title VI populations using GIS for equitable outreach.
• Establish metrics to evaluate outreach effectiveness and drive improvement.
• Provide internal consulting to Region Offices and Project Managers on engagement strategies.
