Job summary

Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Program Specialist (Statewide) to join the Employee Engagement and Community Outreach team in Austin. You will provide consultative services and technical assistance to a broad set of employers, colleges, non-profits and workforce partners across the state, with approximately 35% travel to counties served by the role.

You will build and maintain partnerships, present information, coordinate outreach activities, and deliver high-quality customer service

Qualifications

• One year and six months to two years of full-time experience in development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency.
• Academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for both positions.
• Experience with grant development and review.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex (journey-level) to highly complex (senior-level) consultative services and technical assistance.
• Meet, engage, educate, coordinate, present, research, plan, and provide technical assistance to diverse partners.
• Nurture relationships and deliver world-class customer service across the state.
• Contribute to workforce development needs with flexibility and initiative.
