Job summary

California CASA Association seeks a full-time Director of Policy and Legislative Affairs to lead legislative advocacy, policy development, and government relations statewide. The DPLA partners with the CEO and CPO to advance CA CASA’s priorities, coordinate with staff and contracted lobbyists, and inform policy with research and field data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and strong policy analysis skills.
• Exceptional writing, research, and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CA’s legislative process and advocacy campaigns.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout California, especially Sacramento.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide legislative advocacy and government relations strategy.
• Coordinate with CEO/CPO, staff, and stakeholders on policy priorities.
• Prepare legislative briefings, testimony, and advocacy materials.
• Manage relationships with state agencies, legislators, and partners.
