Job summary

The SC Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee statewide construction projects, renovations, and preventative maintenance across facilities. You will coordinate with OSE, A/Es, and third-party inspectors while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and procurement rules.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and relevant PM experience in construction-related fields, with frequent travel and field supervision across South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's degree and relevant project management experience in construction-related fields.
• Agency may accept an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides construction contract administration support to maintenance and construction projects in statewide buildings using OSE documents and State procurement rules.
• Manages initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout of project lifecycle for assigned construction projects.
• Develops work plans, controls budget, scope of work, and schedule for design-to-build deliverables.
• Prepares status reports and coordinates changes with project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Plans and conducts quarterly facility maintenance inspections of State Veterans' Nursing Homes and State Veteran Cemeteries.
• Maintains inventory of SCDVA-owned assets including MEP systems, life safety, and kitchen equipment.
• Prepares construction project budget estimates based on anticipated needs for equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Performs other duties to meet the Agency's mission.
