Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the building construction trade or a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, industrial arts, or a construction field plus one year of experience in the building construction trade or in building construction.

Responsibilities

• Project design and cost estimation.
• Use CAD to describe construction and renovation needs.
• Calculate and provide cost estimates for construction/renovation projects for budgeting purposes.
• Creation of Title 38 construction documents used to advertise projects for bidding; review and score bids received from contractors.
• Schedule and facilitate pre-construction meetings.
• Monitor ongoing construction projects.
• Schedule and facilitate site visits as necessary to review progress of projects.
• Communicate any issues with project to chain of command.
• Communicate issues with contractors/subcontractors and other vendors.
• Ensure project is completed to specifications.
• Provide recommendations on acceptance of complete projects.
