Educators for Excellence (E4E) seeks an Organizer to support Connecticut campaigns, coach and train educators to be effective ambassadors, and drive statewide engagement. This is a 2-year, term-limited position with a focus on strategic compensation initiatives.

The Organizer will recruit, train, and retain a cohort of educators who will lead campaign tactics and develop spokespeople. Regular statewide travel and evening/weekend engagements are expected to reach educators across districts.

Qualificações

• At least 2 years of professional experience in community organizing, issue-based advocacy, or union organizing.
• Experience designing and implementing outreach campaigns and coordinating volunteers.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Workspace; familiarity with Salesforce.

Responsabilidades

• Field Organizing: conduct outreach to educators, plan and lead phone banks, text banks, 1:1 meetings, school visits, and house parties to move campaigns forward.
• Educate, motivate, and mobilize members to take activist actions (sign petitions, testify, etc.).
• Identify, recruit, and develop teacher leaders to organize their colleagues.
• Facilitate trainings, events, and actions to advance campaigns.
• Leverage digital organizing tools across platforms to engage educators.
