State of Washington Dept of Children, Youth, and Families is seeking a Statewide Disability Liaison Manager (SHPC4) to lead a brand-new team in Child Welfare. The role supervises regional liaisons across the state and supports all Child Welfare regions, with opportunities to collaborate across divisions and with external partners.

Strong leadership, disability services knowledge, and policy experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • One year of experience as SHPC3 or equivalent.
  • OR two years as SHPC2 or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree + five years in related services.
  • Master's degree + four years in related services.
  • Equivalent nine years of progressively responsible experience in family and child services.

Responsibilities

  • Directs a unit of six SHPC2s designated as Regional Disability Liaisons.
  • Provides statewide leadership for the Regional Disability Liaison team.
  • Supervises, trains, coaches, and evaluates staff with advanced expertise.
  • Manages recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and staff accountability.
  • Leads statewide leadership for CW practice and program accountability.
  • Oversees ADA/504/VRA compliance initiatives across regions.
  • Directs organizational unit to deliver statewide client services.
  • Aligns practice packages with program managers and policy.
  • Develops processes to identify gaps and implements mitigation plans.
  • Analyzes proposals and legislation for system impact and implementation.
  • Prioritizes resources to meet VRA and ADA requirements with cross-division collaboration.
