Job summary

CHIRLA is seeking a Statewide Climate Justice Advocate to build community, coalitions, and campaigns advancing climate justice for immigrant communities across California.

Based in Los Angeles with travel throughout the state, the role recruits and retains members, coordinates gatherings, develops education materials, and partners with Organizing and Policy teams to expand CHIRLA's impact.

Qualifications

• At least two years of community college or equivalent related experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to CHIRLA's mission.
• Non-profit or research experience preferred.
• Community involvement or direct organizing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach and recruitment for climate-impacted members.
• Implement leadership development programs across the state.
• Mentor organizers and members; develop immigrant rights materials.
• Convene meetings, events, workshops, and coalitions.
• Lead campaign development and media strategy with partners.
• Travel statewide to support duties and campaigns.
• Support fundraising and report to leadership.
