Job summary

New Schools for Baton Rouge (NSBR) seeks an Executive Director of Growth to lead statewide expansion of high‑quality charter schools. This strategic role partners with the CEO to grow impact across Louisiana and requires up to 40% travel, with two days weekly in Baton Rouge.

You will develop statewide plans, recruit and fund operators, oversee grants, and report progress to the Board. The ED will manage a small team, cultivate partnerships with DOE, LAPCS and local districts, and ensure scalable

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience in strategy or consulting in K-12 education.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience launching and leading charter schools, preferably in a senior role.
• Experience leading a high-performing team to ambitious results.

Responsibilities

• Develop statewide strategic plan to grow charter share outside Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
• Oversee growth strategy and school pipeline for high-quality charter schools.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with LDOE, LAPCS, and educational institutions.
• Lead data-driven investments and reporting to Board and stakeholders.
• Manage a growing team and ensure alignment with NSBR goals.
