Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Baton Rouge seeks a Grants Coordinator to lead development, implementation, and closeout of grants to meet school and funder goals. You will oversee program implementation, compliance, audits, and renewals for multiple funders including Title I and IDEA.

You will work with school staff, regional teams, and vendors to ensure timely reporting, accurate documentation, and budget alignment while maintaining strong relationships with funders.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Develop, maintain budgets and compare budgeted vs actual costs.
• Proficient in budgeting and Excel/Office tools.
• Strong written communication.
• Interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of K-12 education systems and grant guidelines.
• Process reimbursement forms and stay compliant with EDGAR, A-87, A-133.
• Bachelor's degree; 2–4 years budgeting/grant/K-12 experience.
• Light travel to trainings and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors all aspects of the grant per funder specs.
• Works with school staff to ensure grant programs are implemented with fidelity.
• Maintains calendar with grant deadlines and funding strategy.
• Collaborates with Regional and School staff for compliance and audits.
• Monitors rollover budgets and approvals.
• Tracks grant purchases and staffing for compliance and utilization.
• Prepares grant planning reports, budgets, and proposals.
• Gathers quarterly and annual grant reports and certifications.
• Ensures adherence to grant guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains compliance binder with grant records and documents.
• Oversees evaluator activities and contracted services.
• Occasional travel for training and meetings.
