Job summary

State of South Carolina's Department of Social Services seeks an APS Complex Case Coordinator to oversee the Complex Case Unit and coordinate with OIDD and OMH to ensure appropriate services for adults. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 1 year, and APS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience in social services or related field.
• Master’s degree and one year of professional experience in social services or related field.
• APS experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide APS complex case activities and supervise the Complex Case Unit.
• Coordinate with OIDD and OMH to ensure necessary services and timely case movement.
• Carry case loads as needed and provide guidance to staff on interventions.
• Monitor progress, barriers, and outcomes; report trends and summaries.
• Collaborate with county APS offices, state office staff, and external agencies.
• Provide regional coverage and perform related duties as assigned.
